    International Standards For

Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (ISPM 15)

An International Phytosanitary Measure developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC)

This is a regulation that requires heat treatment (also known as pest control) on wooden pallets. It applies to transportation between the European Union , United States and the rest of the world. ISPM15 regulations apply to all solid wood packaging material (wood pallets, wooden collars and wooden boxes).

From January 1st 2021, we will have to meet ISPM 15 international standards for every pallet entering and exiting Malaysia because we classify it as a third-party country. In terms of transportation, perhaps nothing is more important than humble wooden pallets. Millions of items can be shipped every day.

However, if left untreated, it can also become a breeding ground for pests, pollutants and diseases. Therefore, to avoid the risk of spreading pests and diseases worldwide, ISPM 15 was created.

SK HUMBLE TIMBER provide heat-treated Pallet that meet ISPM15 standards. Therefore, starting from January 1, 2021, you don’t have to worry about the relevant regulations of our approved heat-treated wooden pallets. We have simplified the process for you, which means that our pallets can meet your needs for transportation abroad.

We have thoroughly studied all aspects of ISPM 15 and what it means for wooden pallets!

    Quality Control

Did you know that more than 90% of the pallets and skid boards used to transport goods in the world are made of wood? At least millions of pallets are in transit every day

Due to the large amount of wood packaging for cross-border transportation, an internationally recognized certification is required to ensure that there are no hidden bed bugs in the wood.

This standard is called the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (ISPM15).

Each piece of wood packaging after heat treatment is affixed with an internationally recognized trademark to prove that the packaging items have been processed according to ISPM15 standards. The trademark is essentially the passport of the international trade packaged goods
